MOMA Exhibition, Perth Western Australia
I walked/ bumped into my colleague yesterday because I got distracted by a Van Gogh landscape painting I saw hanging up on a wall, through a gate..that was one of the funniest art-nerd momenets of my life!
The exhibition isn’t open yet, as it is still being installed/ set up,..
This exhibition is going to be so farking amazing!!!!!!! I got a sneek-peek today and I turned into something like a 12 year old Justin Bieber fan…sort of.
It will include Van Goh, Dali, Frida Kahlo, Matisse, Picasso etc.

Beyond the lies, beneath the deception, the truth will surface.
Magnolia Pictures has debuted the trailer for the chilling Sundance documentary Blackfish, directed Gabriela Cowperthwaite, about orcas in captivity.
Holy shit.
If you take away the obvious harm of putting an animal in captivity like this, I still don't understand why they would pick Orcas as an animal to do this job.
Planet Earth had one show that focused a lot on Orcas in the wild and how they would interact with others. They showed how Orcas would travel in pods and take baby seals from the beaches as they learned how to swim. They would drag the seals out, still alive, and literally play catch with them by throwing them as high in the air as they could with their tails. It was only fun for them if the seal was near death, but still alive. They also showed how a pod stalked a mom and baby humpback whale, terrorized the two for over 8 hours until they drowned the baby, and all they ate was its tongue. They do this shit for fun.
So even just looking at that, why would you aspire to be a trainer? why would you want to climb into a tank with a whale that has been separated from its pod, traumatized, and abused by humans? On the flip side, why would you support this show and give money to a place that openly does this? A quick google search will bring up everything that I bet is in this documentary. We all know exactly how this story ends, what happened to this whale, what will continue going on, and what people will freely support.
I hope this documentary is the downfall of these shows and captures
